Regina Folk Festival

August 6th Brendan and I were invited to the Regina Folk Festival. As a first timer I didn’t have the slightest idea of what to expect.  I am not sure why I had this idea in my head that the music was going to be boring!  It wasn’t!! Honestly we both had the best time!  We put our chairs right near the front of the Main Stage and for hours enjoyed sitting with the crowd listening to some amazing performers!  My favourite part was all of the people that dance up front with their friends, family, and kids.

The festival also has some of Regina’s top vendors along the strip where you can usually find the Regina’s Farmers Market loot.  I purchased the sweetest hand knitted vest for Brielle shown below from Knitty Gritty Designs.

It’s the perfect family weekend activity.  Hula hoops and organized children’s games line the back side of the lawn for kids to play. Tents with bug spray and sun protection just in case you forgot yours at home.  We are so looking forward to brining the whole family next year!
