Pancake & Pajama Christmas Party
We recently threw our first holiday party in our home and I wanted to share all the details.
I first wanted to find a theme that would work with the flow of our home. It’s not an ideal setup for entertaining, so I knew I wanted to do something fairly quick. Once I came across a Pancake and Pajama party invitation on etsy I knew that it was the perfect fit!
My go to place for paper invitations is Tiny Prints. There customer service and efficiency is top notch. I went with these.
Once I committed to the day, time, and theme I started thinking about setup and what would give the best flow. I did a bit of rearranging of furniture to maximize space. I pushed up our kitchen table against the wall and used it for displaying a wide range of food.
I knew that I wanted to have someone and cater/cook our pancakes for us since we were going to have 20 or so guests. Best decision ever! They even did the dishes and clean up! It allowed for us to actually join in on the fun and eat with our guests.
Sugar Shimmer Sugar Cookie Party Favors
We chose to display them on this tiered ikea tower to give guests a good look at the amazing variety they were able to choose from before leaving.
Hot Cocoa, Coffee, Tea station with an assortment of marshmellows, peppermint, chcocolate, Baileys, Kahlua, Irish Cream.
Instead of ice I opted for frozen cranberries
I had my favorite Italian restaurant Centini fix up some the most amazing pastries and biscotti accompanied by danish and donuts, brioche coffee cake, sausage & bacon. Our guests said WOAH!
For a fun game we had everyone bring a pair of festive socks and strung them up on the string. Best pair of socks one a Starbucks gift card.
We Streamed a crackling holiday fireplace via Youtube.
With my toddler running around I have stains all over my chairs! I used these chair covers I got from Bed Bath and Beyond to hide all the naughty stains. I then decided to make them super festive with some wired ribbon from Michaels.
We genuinely had an amazing time! Merry Christmas and happy planning!
Xoxo,
Danelle
