On Trend

I caved.  I like to keep up with what’s current or on trend, however, I am actually very selective with what I buy.  You have seen ruffled sleeve sweaters and bell sleeves all over the Instagram and in a way I get kind of turned off by it unless of course it is something that I truly love.  I saw this sweater on Lemonberry’s Instagram stories and quite literally messaged them that very second and bought it. I had to have it.  It did not disappoint!

One thing you should know about me though is that I actually don’t shop all that often!  I am more likely to buy a couple of things that are trending seasonally that will still tie in with the staple items I already have in my closet. And even while doing that I also like to buy my staple items on sale and with rebate programs. I have been able to find some really great things by being patient.  For instance, the seven for all mankind jeans above I got at winners for half price.  I also do not post round ups of sale after sale like Nordstrom or Shopbop unless I have actually participated in that sale or personally have that item and wanted que you all in that its been discounted! You know what I mean?   I personally do not have a massive inventory of my closet or buy things that I only intend on wearing one time.  In fact if I am the complete opposite (mostly!).  I like to invest my money in things I know I will get a lot of use out of.  You don’t have to put that pressure on yourself to always have something new, or the wear it once mentality.  I don’t know where it came from or why but it’s just too much pressure! haha!
