There is nothing better than being able to spend a whole fun filled weekend with the family.  This past weekend in particular was special because it was Brighton’s second birthday.  We haven’t thrown him an official birthday party yet because he doesn’t really have a lot of kiddie friends which is partly my fault but it’s a goal of mine to try and work on that for his sake!  But what we have done is a couple of staycations! Last year we stayed at the Palliser hotel for some fun family swimming and treats and this year we went to the zoo to check out the new Dino park and he got a kick out of it!  I got on film him actually saying triceratops which is hilarious. Comes out more like si-tops.  We also stayed in Drumheller for two nights to explore and see their museum.  Brighton much prefers the dead dinosaurs then the ones who have been reincarnated and animated.   All in all it’s a weekend I will forever remember.
